The Grosse Scheidegg offers a unique experience in a breathtaking setting and is a wonderful excursion destination for young and old. On one side lies the imposing Eiger and the face of the Wetterhorn as well as the world-famous glacier village of Grindelwald and on the other the rugged Engelhörner and the wildly romantic Reichenbach Valley.

Rushing waterfalls, thundering icefalls and idyllic cowbells are the acoustic accompaniment to a hike in the Grosse Scheidegg region. They form the backdrop to a magnificent and impressive landscape in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Impressive high mountains, rugged limestone cliffs, jagged glaciers and thundering waterfalls contrast sharply with colourful flower meadows, green forests and lovely countryside. Special attractions include the Grindelwald Alpine Bird Park and the Reichenbach Falls with the Sherlock Holmes Memorial.
